Migrant Worker project
The CALL Migrant Worker Project provides a free independent advocacy service to migrant workers and asylum seekers.
It provides a 'level playing field' to give them a voice within their community with representation and support with language skills if necessary when dealing with issues such as equal opportunities, housing, access to healthcare and benefits etc.
In short we aim to enable migrant workers and asylum seekers to achieve their equal rights as residents of the UK.
The project will also provide an opportunity for individuals, families and groups who are experiencing difficulties to explore what the issues are and to help them make informed choices about the options available to them as well as providing the skills and confidence needed to articulate their preferences.
These skills and levels of confidence will provide the long term change as project beneficiaries will become more included in the decision making process, assisting them to integrate more fully into their communities.
